The Trade Compliance Specialist will assist their leader in facilitating effective trade compliance management and fostering compliance culture across China legal entities of Thermo Fisher Scientific. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Responsible for reviewing order transactions and customer accounts to ensure compliance with U.S. export control regulations. • Collect necessary documents and submit escalation requests to Global trade compliance team when necessary. • Communicate with internal departments to interpret the regulatory requirements for their specific requests. • Stay up-to-date with regulations from China Customs, U.S. relevant government agencies. • Assist with Customs projects such as internal import and export audits as well as improvement initiatives. • Support other work as requested by the leader. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Transportation/Logistics, Business, or International Trade, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. • More than 2 years of experience within a multi-national company • Excellence in the local language and English. • Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement. • Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
