Assist or play as MQE role: • Involve in new product development, work with Engineering and Technical team to conduct design and process maturity study, define product quality requirements and manufacturing control plan. • Develop metrology on new product, conduct supply chain spec alignment, correlation activities. • Drive Failure analysis, corrective action implementation plan, and yield bridge to mass production. Influence designs so that they are manufacturable. • Review supplier’s quality control flow, in-process quality control system, in-coming components and out-going product’s quality control plan • Collaborate with multiple function teams, Engineering, Operations, and Quality within Apple as well as various suppliers during the new products builds at OEM supplier and final assemble sites. Key deliverables will include: • Partner with cross functional teams to evaluate process robustness at the concept phase • Develop Measurement technologies for Evaluation, Quality Plans, Reliability Test Plan, Cosmetic Inspection Criteria • Assist in implementing corrective actions cross-functionally with internal and external team members • Provide support to the team in the area of leading suppliers by providing technical and quality requirements to establish and validate (utilizing statistical tools) process capability, incoming, in-process and outgoing quality control to the company’s standards in meeting innovative product designs as well as test and quality requirements • Utilize DOE, FMEA, CTQs, FMEA and other Industry-standard tools to proactively identify and address product and process risks and mitigate or improve with suppliers • Provide assistance during cross-functional stage-gate review in each of new production introduction phases, including support in the area of key sub-tier supplier capability, process and line readiness, quality control plan, reliability test plan, test coverage, test setup, limits, Gauge R&R, Correlations to ensure end-to-end quality coverage • Provide necessary assistance in supplier production line qualification, provide short-term, longterm corrective actions for any quality issues and drive improvements • Compile and evaluate data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process and part specifications to balance unparalleled quality with scalable yields • Interface with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product • Coordinate all Quality Engineering functions for a program, serving as project manager to lead efforts at supplier locations • Establish audit procedures appropriate to program and supplier to ensure adherence to Apple quality standards • Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes • Help on the process of developing metrology for challenging parts measurement • Help the team to ensure parts shipped per Quality/Product Design/Industrial Design requirement on both dimensional and cosmetic for each engineering build • Help the team to develop reliability test method on part level and ensure the test objectives are met • Drive actions to close gaps between the actual yield and target yield for the product • Help to review PMP with supplier and other Apple functional groups to optimize supplier quality programs. • Evaluates supplier readiness and adherence to PMP at all development and qualification stages. • Monitor each supplier's performance through measurement of production line statistics, company inspections, and audits. Prepare summary of performance and communicate to appropriate management.

BS/MS in Mechanical/Electro-mechanical/Industrial Engineering, PhD in Materials Science is a plus • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good English • 5+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing or Quality Control for high volume manufacturing products at international OEM partners • Experience with any of the following: mechanical enclosures, textiles, leather, castings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or high volume manufacturing quality • Has passion to learn and adapt to a dynamic environment, must be a self-starter, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision • Has deep knowledge on quality management system structure, quality procedures, and the application of typical quality tools (e.g. MSA, FACA, SPC) and troubleshooting modes and driving corrective actions • Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations, strong technical skills, i.e. problem solving, issue root causing, analytical skills • Be familiar with GD&T and have rich experience to apply the knowledges in actual work • Strong data analysis ability and Statistics Concept Expertise (Design of Experiments, ANOVA, Multi-Vari), able to utilise data analysis tools to discover the clues of inherence of data • Has professional project management skill and a deep understanding of problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis, and statistical tools
