Job Title
Customer Success Architect (CSA) – Infrastructure (OnPremises)
(Windows / SCCM (MECM) / SQL Server)
Role Summary
The Customer Success Architect (CSA) – Infrastructure (OnPremises) is a customerfacing, deliveryfocused technical role responsible for driving stability, performance, and modernization outcomes for enterprise onpremises infrastructure environments.
This role combines deep technical expertise in Windows Server, SCCM (MECM), and SQL Server with reactive troubleshooting, proactive advisory, and customer engagement, aligned to Microsoft Customer Success delivery motions.
Key Responsibilities
OnPrem Infrastructure Delivery
Design, support, and optimize enterprise onpremises infrastructure including Windows Server, SCCM (MECM), and SQL Server
Act as a technical authority for infrastructure architecture, operations, and troubleshooting
Support standalone and hybrid environments, including integration with Azure and Microsoft 365
SCCM (MECM)
Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM / MECM) infrastructure
Support Client Health, Software Updates, OS Deployment (OSD), Application Management, and Reporting
Troubleshoot SCCM infrastructure issues including site hierarchy, SQL connectivity, distribution points, and WSUS integration
SQL Server (OnPrem)
Deliver SQL Server administration and troubleshooting
Support performance tuning, HA/DR (Failover Cluster, Always On Availability Groups)
Handle migration, upgrade, patching, backup, security, and maintenance activities
Drive rootcause analysis and remediation for reactive SQL incidents
Reactive & Proactive Engagements
Lead reactive troubleshooting scenarios with clear action plans and followthrough to closure
Deliver proactive assessments, bestpractice guidance, and optimization recommendations
Translate technical findings into customerconsumable insights and remediation plans
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to customers, CSAMs, and delivery stakeholders
Communicate effectively with IT admins, infrastructure leads, and application owners
Contribute to technical documentation, knowledge sharing, and IP reuse
Required Technical Skills (NonNegotiable)
Core Infrastructure
Strong experience with Windows Server (2016 / 2019 / 2022)
Deep handson expertise with SCCM / MECM infrastructure
Advanced experience with SQL Server (2016–2022) administration
SQL Server
Solid understanding of SQL Server architecture & internals
Experience with Performance tuning, HA/DR, Security, Migration & Upgrade
Strong troubleshooting skills for complex reactive scenarios
SCCM / Endpoint
SCCM hierarchy design & troubleshooting
Client deployment, update management, OSD, and reporting
Integration with WSUS and SQL Server
Nice to Have / Additional Skills
PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting
Exposure to Azure (Arc, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup)
Experience with Hybrid infrastructure scenarios
Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, Networking fundamentals
Familiarity with CSA delivery motions (VBD / EDE / Reactive)
Soft Skills & CSA Mindset
Strong customerfacing communication and presentation skills
Ability to own escalations and drive resolution
Confident in handling highpressure production incidents
Selflearner with continuous skilling mindset
Comfortable working in shiftbased or flexible delivery models

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
10+ years of experience in Infrastructure / SQL / SCCM roles
Experience in customerfacing, consulting, or support delivery roles preferred
